Get most of your Symbian device [Part 13] : Free Up Some Space On C:
Posted on 12:37 by SlipKoRnSaad
Here's a forgotten tip (at least by me) to gain 5 extra megabytes of phone memory ! This space is only used if you do an "over the air" firmware update.
Your device must be hacked and open4all patch applied, you need also a strong file manager...ready?
- Use Active File and navigate to C:\Private\102072c4
- Delete the file reserved.bin
- Optionally, you can make an empty text file called reserved.txt and drop it into C:\Private\102072c4 to prevent system recreating it after boot ;)
Ps : If you go to the device manager app, the reserved.bin file reappears, so it's safe to remove it, we wont need it as we (Omnia HD's user) never get any FOTA updates. you can delete it to.
