Nokia C-series Mobile Computers
Well as we know, Nokia's been signaling a willingness to look beyond Symbian with an increased interest in Linux of late. Nokia and Intel stuck an alliance last month that could see the handset maker adopting an Intel-backed Linux OS on its upcoming devices.
For now, The rumours about a Nokia Maemo/Linux based series of devices is popping up ones in a while. Today another chapter can be added to the story. It seems that Nokia is preparing to introduce a new line-up of devices to complement it’s N-series and E-series portfolio.
The new C-series is rumoured to be the name for a series of mobile computers developed together with Intel and running on "new" platforms called Maemo and Moblin. According to Puhelinvertailu.com a Finnish site, Nokia has registered the name at the Finnish Patent and Trademark office. The trademark was filed on April 14th.
We truly think that Nokia will introduce the new series at the Nokia World 2009. This event starts at the beginning of September and is held in Stuttgart, Germany.
