[Did You Know?] You can bypass Nokia Messaging 2MB attachment limit ?
Hello folks, new day, new tip !
As you know, Nokia really took a step backward with the email situation on the Nokia N8 (even if fixes will come with the upcoming fw update) and i got the habit with all my smartphones even the iPhone to send pictures and files over 2MB...but this is just "impossible" with the N8 among other things (push, sso, etc)...but i've found a solution for that !
Did you know that if you decline the Nokia Messaging Term Of Service (that appears when you set up a mailbox) you can then set up a "regular" IMAP account that apparently bypasses the Nokia Messaging servers and removes the 2MB limit on attachment size? No? Then try it !
Ps : With this trick, additional options appear under settings and allow you to set the incoming attachment size to anything you want and it partially fixes problems with accounts syncing
